Origanum vulgare var. hirtum - Herbs and Veges

This Oregano is the True Greek variety sometimes known as true oregano or Italian oregano. This is the familiar herb used on pizzas and in tomato sauces. A well known herb in Italian food.

Oregano is a perennial herb, growing from 20–80 cm tall, with opposite leaves 1–4 cm long. The flowers are purple, 3–4 mm long, produced in erect spikes.
